Every June, Liberation Church of Christ runs a special 5-day spiritual event called Let My Mother’s Children Be Free (LMMCBF). It is one of the church’s three flagship yearly programmes, alongside others like the December SALT programme and Bethel. The LMMCBF focus is on deep prayer and fasting for families and every member of the church, with emphasis on breaking chains that hold children spiritually, emotionally, or socially.
The name and mandate of the programme come from what the church teaches was a direct word from God given to Rev. Mrs. Priscilla Ezeodika, the General Overseer and spiritual leader of the church. During the five days, congregants engage in fasting, powerful prayer sessions, deliverance prayers, and intercession for their children, siblings, and families, believing these can unlock freedom from spiritual bonds and generational challenges.
Many participants share accounts online (especially on social media) of breakthroughs, released destinies, and life changes they attribute to the power of prayer and fasting during LMMCBF. Testimonies are often posted by members declaring that their children have been spiritually connected to God’s deliverance, and that blessings and freedom followed the programme each year.
The LMMCBF remains a cherished part of the church’s calendar, drawing believers from across regions who commit themselves to dedicated spiritual preparation and communal intercession in June every year.
